Summary
wellnessbynook.com does not run a behavioural-advertising pixel and does not load a cross-site tracker. Cloudflare Web Analytics is not enabled yet. If we enable it, we intend to use Cloudflare's cookieless product, which sets no analytics cookies and does not fingerprint visitors. As a result, we do not require an analytics consent banner under the ePrivacy Directive / PECR for the current site.
We do use one piece of browser local storage (not technically a cookie under PECR, but we disclose it for transparency). The current contact form opens your mail client; it does not load Cloudflare Turnstile and does not set Turnstile cookies. If the planned Worker form is enabled later, Cloudflare Turnstile may set strictly necessary bot-mitigation cookies when you use the form.
What we store, and what we don't
Strictly necessary (no consent required)
- Cloudflare Turnstile challenge cookies — not used on the current site. Planned for the future contact-form Worker to verify you are not a bot. Set by Cloudflare if enabled. Reference: developers.cloudflare.com/turnstile.
Functional (LocalStorage, not a cookie)
- wbn-currency — your selected display currency (USD / EUR / GBP) for the pricing switcher. Lives in your browser's LocalStorage on this domain only. Persists until you clear site data. No personal information; only one of three currency codes.
Analytics (cookieless)
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — not enabled yet. If enabled, it will aggregate anonymous page-view counts, referrers, and country-level geography. Cloudflare says the product sets no cookies and does not fingerprint visitors. Reference: cloudflare.com/web-analytics.
Things we deliberately don't do
- No Google Analytics. No Meta Pixel. No LinkedIn Insight Tag. No TikTok Pixel.
- No A/B-testing tool (e.g. Optimizely, VWO).
- No heatmap / session-replay tool (e.g. Hotjar, FullStory).
- No retargeting via third-party advertising networks.
- No cross-domain or cross-device tracking.
- No Klaviyo onsite tracking script.
Why we chose this posture
The wellnessbyNOOK buyer base is small and high-trust: hospitality operators, private estate owners, and architecture studios. The commercial gain from behavioural advertising on a single-product brochure site is minimal; the friction it creates (a banner the visitor has to dismiss, weaker trust posture, slower page) is real. We chose the cookieless / no-banner posture deliberately.
If this changes
If we later add a tool that sets non-essential cookies — for example, a paid retargeting pixel for a specific outreach campaign — we will:
- Update this page with the new cookie set, purpose, retention, and provider.
- Add a granular consent banner that complies with UK PECR, EU ePrivacy Directive, and the relevant US state law (CCPA / CPRA).
- Default new cookies to "off" until consent is granted, and never read or write them before consent.
Browser controls
You can clear LocalStorage and any platform cookies at any time from your browser's settings — typically under "Privacy" or "Site data". You can also block cookies entirely; doing so will not affect your ability to read the site. The current form already uses a mailto: handler. If the planned Turnstile-protected form is enabled later, blocking cookies may prevent Turnstile from verifying the submission.
